Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DOLLANI, LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit skoolhero.com, contact us, or use Skool Hero, the AI assistant that answers questions in Skool communities (together, the "Services"). If you have questions, email hero@skoolhero.com.
1. Who this policy covers
We handle personal information in two different roles:
- Community owners, their teams and website visitors. When you fill in our form, create an account or pay for a plan, we decide how that information is used. This policy applies directly.
- Members of a connected Skool community. When a community owner connects their community, Skool Hero processes members' posts, comments and messages on the owner's behalf and following the owner's settings. The community owner is responsible for that information and for telling their members how it is used. If you are a member, please contact the community owner first. We will help them handle your request.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Setup requests. When you submit the form on our website: your first name, email address, Skool community, paying member range, who answers questions today, and any notes you add.
- Account information. Your name, email address and login details when you create an account, and the name of your workspace.
- Billing information. Your plan, billing history and billing contact. Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Support. Anything you send us when you email us or ask for help.
Information from your connected Skool community
To work, Skool Hero connects to your community through a separate Skool account that you create for the assistant. Depending on your settings, we process:
- The assistant account's Skool session token, which we store encrypted.
- Your course content: classroom lessons, uploaded videos, audio and files, YouTube videos and web pages you add, and the transcripts we create from them.
- Posts and comments in the categories you choose to watch, and direct messages sent to the assistant account if you turn on DM replies. These include the names and profile details that Skool shows next to each post or message.
- The replies the assistant drafts, the edits and decisions you make in the app, and a record of what was posted.
- Your settings, such as watched categories, instructions, reply style and the teammates you select.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of each request. We use it to run, secure and fix the Services.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Services: indexing your content, finding the right lesson for each question, drafting replies and posting the ones you approve or allow.
- To respond to setup requests and support questions.
- To manage accounts, subscriptions and payments.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
- To understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- To send you service messages, such as changes to these policies. We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your course content or your members' messages to train AI models.
4. How we use AI
To draft a reply, we send the member's question and the most relevant parts of your content to AI providers that generate, rank and transcribe text for us. They process this information only to provide their service to us, under their own terms and data protection commitments. AI output can be wrong, which is why you can review every reply before it is posted.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services, and only what they need to do their job:
- Hosting, databases and file storage (for example Vercel and Neon)
- Account login and subscription management (Clerk)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- AI and search providers that generate replies, rank content, transcribe audio and store search indexes (for example Google, Cohere, ElevenLabs and Pinecone)
- Services that fetch web pages and YouTube information you add to your knowledge base
- Network providers that route our connection to Skool
- Internal team tools that notify us of new setup requests
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business. If that happens, we will make sure this policy continues to protect your information.
6. Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Skool Hero app uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in to the app.
7. How long we keep information
- Account and community data is kept while your account is active.
- When you delete a workspace, we delete its data after a short grace period, in case you change your mind.
- Setup requests are kept for as long as we need them to follow up with you.
- We keep some records longer when the law requires it, for example billing records for tax purposes.
Copies in backups are deleted on their normal backup cycle.
8. How we protect information
We use encryption in transit, encrypt Skool session tokens at rest, and limit access to the people and systems that need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers process information mainly in the United States and may process it in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states have similar rights, including the right to know what we collect and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.
To make a request, email hero@skoolhero.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Services are not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell account holders by email or in the app.
